Our Mission
At the Arzu Foundation, our mission is to enhance the lives of those affected by the ravages of war, with a dedicated focus on delivering essential services and support to women and children. We firmly believe that every individual deserves access to fundamental necessities including food, clothing, shelter, education, healthcare, and safety.
Our History
Established in 2001, the Arzu Foundation has been instrumental in relocating women and children from war-torn regions to safe havens, offering them a beacon of hope for the future. Our approach is deeply personal, with our team maintaining direct communication with every family we assist. We are aptly named after the first courageous woman we rescued from the perils of war along with her son. She continues to be a part of this foundation helping others in need.
Our organization was founded to urgently respond to the needs of those profoundly affected by war. We arrange transportation for families out of bomb-threatened cities to secure environments conducive to healthy living. Once relocated, we provide essential provisions such as food, clothing, shelter, education, and healthcare.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to establishing personal connections with each individual. We strive for daily contact, aiming not merely to provide assistance but to understand their aspirations and ambitions for the future.
We are a 501C non profit organization. 100% of the proceeds to go helping those in need. None of our officers receive a penny for their work.
Our Programs

Our ultimate aim is to empower these individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency and flourish.
- Widows of War: Many women widowed by war often find themselves adrift, unsure where to seek refuge. Too frequently, driven by sheer desperation for survival, they are coerced into work that supports malevolent enterprises. At our organization, we acknowledge these daunting challenges and offer a nurturing, constructive path towards a promising future filled with safety, health, and hope.
- Single Mothers: We understand the hardships that single mothers endure. Raising children without the support of a father is among the toughest responsibilities anyone can face. Worldwide, we provide assistance in essential areas such as food, clothing, education, healthcare, and empowerment.
- Ukraine: Yes, the women and children of Ukraine continue to require our support urgently! Despite the current complex political landscape, the Arzu Foundation sets aside political differences and prioritizes what is morally right. These innocent civilians are enduring relentless bombardments and witnessing harrowing scenes due to the ongoing conflict with Russia. Imagine living peacefully, going about your daily life with hopes for the future—school days, family gatherings, and outings in the park—only to have it all shattered by a war thrust upon you without warning. These women and children now seek refuge in the basements of buildings, trembling as bombs fall and the ground shakes, praying for safety and survival. Already, we have aided numerous women and children in escaping these dire conditions. We relocate them to safer cities equipped with essential amenities such as water, electricity, and schools. Our support encompasses comprehensive care, including medical and dental attention, clothing, nutritious food, and secure housing. For those wishing to relocate to neighboring countries, we assist with the necessary arrangements. Many of these brave women remain committed to their homeland, advocating for freedom and peace amidst the chaos. We provide vocational training tailored to available job opportunities, empowering them with skills in logistics, healthcare, education, and compassionate support. At the Arzu Foundation, we stand united in our mission to alleviate suffering and restore hope for those affected by this devastating conflict. Together, we strive to provide a brighter future and stand in solidarity with the resilient people of Ukraine.
- We stand against Sex Trafficking: Women facing poverty and lacking education often find themselves without options, vulnerable to falling into the devastating trap of sex trafficking. At our organization, we prioritize education about the warning signs to prevent such situations. Moreover, for those already ensnared in this harrowing reality, we offer comprehensive support: aiding in escape and providing crucial mental healthcare services to help survivors reclaim their lives.
- Help for our Veterans: We are deeply grateful to our U.S. Veterans for their dedication to fighting for freedom both at home and abroad. We are committed to supporting our veterans in a variety of impactful ways. Recognizing their immense sacrifices, we provide financial assistance for essential needs, such as acquiring service dogs to aid those with disabilities. Beyond financial aid, our hands-on support includes building wheelchair ramps to improve accessibility and undertaking property cleanup projects to ensure safe and welcoming living environments. By addressing these practical needs, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and show our profound gratitude for their service.
